The Repeater Footprint (in theory)
Here's the "Butchmobile" backed up to the repeater shack.
A bit of a closer view..
A better view of the Wacom duplexer...
.....And, here's our antenna, the bottom is at least 480' above local
terrain or roughly 1000' above sea level. The antenna is a DB Products "intercity" model.
.....And, here's the tower looking up safely from the bottom!!!
It's not a thing of beauty, not in the least. Although the ugly brown Aerotron cabinet with a GE MastrII inside doesn't match any of the Motorola cabinets in the shack, it is roomy. The Wacom duplexer "ain't too bad". You can also see the commercial "KA5HRFproof" blower, or "heat exchanger", through the opening in the cabinet. This cools things with Butch goes into "AM" mode..
Here is the remainder of the 800 trunked stuff in use along with the Fire Dept. repeater. Not seen on the end are several duplexers and a rack stacked with Motorola gear with the Sheriff's freqencies.
Last but certainly not least; KA5HRF looks like a proud daddy standing next to the culmination of about a two year effort. |
